Francesco Ragazzi, the founder of Palm Angels began his career at Moncler, rising up to become the art director of the luxury outdoor brand before leaving to start his own label. The designer claims his collaboration with his previous employer is a dream come true – a homecoming, of sorts – and the results of the reunion are everything you might expect from two old friends with very different aesthetics. Ragazzi’s reverence for Moncler’s heritage is evident in this slick black gilet; he retains the label’s tried-and-tested quilted down design, rendering it wet-look satin nylon and marking it with a flash of copper insignia at the chest.
